Born in Paris, Brunel de Neuville is well known for his still lifes and paintings of animals, particularly cats. In 1879, Brunel de Neuville began exhibiting at the Paris Salon. In 1889, he first exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais, and was made a member in 1907. His work is in the museum collections of Beziers, Brest and Chateau-Thierry.
