Born in Poitiers, Pailler studied at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, then in Léon Bonnat’s studio at the École des Beaux-Arts. In 1906, Pailler became a teacher at the École des Beaux-Arts in Poitiers. After World War I, he left Poitiers & began teaching at the École des Arts et Industries Textiles in Roubaix.
Pailler exhibited in many Salons & galleries, including the Salon des Indépendants, the Galerie Dujardin in Roubaix, the Galerie Serret-Fauveau in Paris, & the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, of which he was a member from 1904 until his death.
Pailler is best known for his paintings of still-lifes, portraits, village scenes, landscapes, architectural views & ruins.
