Corrina Sephora is a metal sculptor and mixed-media artist specializing in blacksmithing. She explores emotion, memory and ritual with what she calls “repetitious imagery,” prominently featuring trees, ladders and nautical and celestial motifs.
The artist first encountered metalwork in early childhood, helping her father in his construction workshop. At that age, Sephora called welding “electric lighting.” The nautical images from her artwork are inspired by a family history of boat-building and seafaring.
